Here's How Country Connections Will Work For You!Please allow us an opportunity to explain how a Country Connections subscription will help you find the person of your dreams. Letter Writing a Key Component Letter writing plays a key part in the Country Connections’ plan for making new friends. We daily forward letters sent to our office via the U.S. Mail and subscribers with internet service may exchange e-mails nearly instantly. Subscribers are encouraged to read through each monthly newsletter and review the profiles published on this web site and select the profiles of subscribers they would like to get acquainted with. Once the profiles are selected, personal letters should be written to those of interest. If sending the letter through the U.S. Mail, each letter is placed inside a sealed envelope. On the outside of the envelope, the subscriber number of the intended recipient is noted. One or more of the sealed letters may then be placed inside a larger envelope and mailed to the Country Connections office for forwarding. Country Connections will use the subscription number to add the recipient’s name and address to the blank envelope and forward it for a charge of $1 per letter. The $1 per letter charge also includes the application of one first-class stamp for each envelope forwarded. Country Connections will forward an unlimited number of letters provided the forwarding fee is enclosed. Thus it is never necessary for a subscriber to reveal their name or address to another subscriber until they feel comfortable about doing so.
E-mail messages are forwarded without charge. Many but not all of our subscribers have internet service. Privacy of Upmost Importance Privacy is important to many of our subscribers. Copies of the newsletter and other correspondence to you from Country Connections will come with the name of our parent company, Country Publishers, or a sister company, Superior Publishing Company. The postman and your neighbors will not know the nature of your mail. We understand many people are reluctant to use a publication such as Country Connections. However, we believe our unique newsletter offers safeguards not available from many other services.
Subscribers' complete names, telephone numbers and physical addresses are not stored on our internet servers. To access the internet profile site and forward e-mail messages subscribers must use a password provided by the Country Connections staff when subscription orders are processed. Orders Processed With Care After a Country Connections subscription order is accepted, our staff goes to work immediately. The day the order is received a packet of at least 12 prior monthly copies of the newsletter is prepared and mailed. In a few days the new subscriber has this valuable resource. And an internet account is established. The back issues provide a ready source of profiles which the new subscriber can review. Interesting profiles can be selected and letters written. Each issue of the newsletter contains an update on subscribers who have asked to be placed on the inactive list. Profiles are removed from the internet site as they become inactive. Country Connections will forward via the U.S. Mail a subscriber’s mail for as long as a current address is on file. The e-mail forwarding services is available only to active subscribers. The back issues also provide a printed reference source so subscribers can review the published profiles of the people who write to them. Immediately upon receipt of a subscription order, Country Connections staff members assign subscriber identification numbers, mail the back issues and begin preparing the subscriber’s personal profile for inclusion in the next newsletter and posting on the web site. It is our goal to post a profile within a week of receipt of the order.Subsribers should review the posted profile and advise our office of desired changes before the printed newsletter is published. The internet profile may be updated as a subscriber’s situation changes. All newsletters are typeset, printed and mailed in our plant. As a subscription order moves through our office and printing plant, a minimum of 12 people will be involved in the processing. Newsletters are mailed after the end of the month the subscription order is received. For example subscriptions received in Feburary are included in the February newsletter which is printed about March 15 .
Audiotext In addition to the printed newsletter and the internet features, the Country Connections subscription fee also includes the right to have your personal voice profile placed on our audiotext system. Our audiotext employs computer technology to reproduce a subscriber’s spoken introduction in their very own words. The audiotext system operates seven days a week. Unlike the costly 900-number systems we have all come to dislike, there are no hidden charges with the Country Connections’ system. With the basic subscription you may listen to other voice introductions, record and update your own voice introduction and leave messages for other subscribers. The only charge to you is the cost of a regular long distance telephone call from your home to Superior, Nebraska.
Subscription Rates The annual subscription rate for the Country Connections Newsletter is only $75. Your picture may be published with your profile for an additional $7. When paying by credit card, please send your name as it appears on your credit card, your full account number and the expiration date. After the first year, the renewal rate is a low $25 per year. We will mail suscription order and subscriber profile forms or they may be accessed on this web site.
